AACA, a leading film school in South Africa, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Coordinator to join our team. This role is vital in facilitating faculty and student research, securing grants, and managing publications, ensuring that our academic community continues to contribute valuable insights to the film industry.
Position Details:
- Facilitate and support research initiatives by faculty and students, providing guidance and resources throughout the research process.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, fellowships, and sponsorships, to support research projects.
- Assist in the preparation, submission, and management of grant proposals and applications.
- Coordinate with faculty to develop research agendas that align with institutional goals and industry trends.
- Organize workshops and training sessions on research methodologies, grant writing, and publication strategies.
- Manage the publication process for research outputs, including coordinating with publishers, reviewing submissions, and ensuring adherence to publication guidelines.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of research activities, funding sources, and publication records.
- Promote the dissemination of research findings through conferences, seminars, and industry events.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and institutional policies in all research activities.

Requirements:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with research databases, grant application platforms, and publication management tools.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of academic integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience working in higher education or a similar educational setting.
