AACA, a leading film school in South Africa, is seeking talented and dedicated individuals to join our Production Team. We are looking for professionals with expertise in sound, lighting, and stage management to support our diverse range of productions and classroom activities.
Position Details:
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to ensure the successful execution of film productions, theater performances, and classroom activities.
- Sound Technicians: Manage and operate audio equipment, ensuring high-quality sound for all productions and events. This includes recording, mixing, and editing audio as needed.
- Lighting Designers: Design and implement lighting plans for productions and events, working closely with directors and other team members to achieve the desired visual effects.
- Stage Managers: Coordinate all aspects of production during rehearsals and performances, including managing schedules, supervising backstage activities, and ensuring smooth operation of all technical elements.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and breakdown of technical equipment for various events and productions.
- Provide technical support and training to students, helping them learn to operate equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain and repair technical equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and available when needed.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of school events, ensuring all technical aspects are effectively managed.

Requirements:
- Relevant experience in your specific role (e.g., sound technician, lighting designer, stage manager) within film production, theater, or a similar environment.
- Proficiency with a wide range of production equipment and software, including audio equipment, lighting systems, and stage management tools.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Film Production, Technical Theatre, Audio Engineering).
- Previous experience in an educational setting, particularly in a film school or similar environment.
- Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.
- Certification or training in equipment maintenance and safety protocols.
- Experience managing a team of technical staff or student assistants.
