AACA, a leading film school in South Africa, is seeking industry practitioners to join our faculty as part-time instructors. We are looking for passionate professionals who can share their expertise through workshops and specific courses in various areas of film and performing arts.
Because of the nature of our training, students will be fully functional when they leave. The BA in Film & Cinematic Studies is designed to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and skills necessary for a career in film production, providing a strong foundation in both practical and theoretical aspects of film and cinematic studies.
Position Details:
- Teach workshops or specific courses in specialized areas of film and performing arts, based on your industry expertise.
- Design and deliver hands-on, practical instruction that reflects current industry practices and trends.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional insights to students aspiring to enter the entertainment industry.
- Collaborate with full-time faculty to ensure alignment with program goals and objectives.
- Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities as required.

Requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise and professional experience in a relevant area of the film or performing arts industry.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively and engage students in hands-on learning activities.
- Flexibility and availability to teach workshops or courses on a part-time basis, including evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and students.
Preferred:
- Previous teaching or workshop facilitation experience.
- Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.
- Current industry connections and networks that can benefit students’ professional development.
