AACA, a prestigious film school in South Africa, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our faculty as full-time instructors. We are looking for dynamic educators who can teach core subjects as well as specialized areas such as Method Acting, Voice & Movement, Psychology of Production, Dramatic Literature, Social Anthropology, Research Methodology, Stunt Work, Presenting, Brand Management, Show Business, and Entrepreneurship.
Because of the nature of our training, students will be fully functional when they leave. The BA in Acting is designed to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and skills necessary for a career in film production, providing a strong foundation in both practical and theoretical aspects of film and cinematic studies.
Position Details:
- Teach a range of core and specialized subjects within the curriculum of AACA’s Bachelor of Arts program.
- Develop and deliver engaging and innovative lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Mentor and advise students in their academic and professional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure coherence and consistency across courses and programs.
- Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and ongoing program improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in relevant subject areas.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other activities as required.

Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Acting, Theatre, Film Studies, Anthropology, Business, etc.).
- Expertise in one or more of the following specialized subjects: Method Acting, Voice & Movement, Psychology of Production, Dramatic Literature, Social Anthropology, Research Methodology, Stunt Work, Presenting, Brand Management, Show Business, or Entrepreneurship.
- Previous teaching experience at the college or university level preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students in the performing arts and entertainment industry.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and student engagement.
- Experience in curriculum development, assessment, and program coordination.
- Professional experience in the performing arts, film, television, or related industries.
- Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.
