Position: Admissions and Records Officer

AACA, a leading film school in South Africa, is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Student Support Services Department as an Admissions and Records Officer. This role is responsible for managing student applications, enrollments, and records to ensure a smooth and efficient admissions process.
Position Details:
- Manage the admissions process from application to enrollment, including reviewing applications, evaluating transcripts, and communicating with prospective students.
- Coordinate with academic departments and faculty to ensure accurate assessment of applicant qualifications and program requirements.
- Maintain student records, including enrollment data, academic transcripts, and other relevant documentation.
- Provide support and guidance to students throughout the admissions process, addressing inquiries and assisting with paperwork as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate orientation programs and student onboarding activities.
- Generate reports and analyze data related to admissions, enrollment, and student demographics.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and accreditation standards.

- Addressing inquiries and concerns from students, parents, and other stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Business Administration, Student Affairs, etc.).
- Previous experience in admissions, enrollment management, or student services preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including database management and Microsoft Office suite.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred:
- Experience working in higher education or a similar educational setting.
- Knowledge of admissions software or student information systems.
- Familiarity with policies and regulations related to student records and privacy (e.g., PoPI).
- Ability to speak multiple languages to support a diverse student population.
