Here are some of the questions we frequently encounter. If you have any questions which we have not answered for you here, please send your question to us at info@cmponline.biz and a CMP representative will respond within two business days.

Do I have to pay a licensing fee to use the music I purchase from CMPonline?

All products sold by CMPonline (Multitrax and Power Music releases) are legally licensed music compilations. This means the suppliers have paid for the right to obtain a master recording, and duplicate that recording for public sale. While the licensing fees they pay for this purpose protect them, they do not protect you, as an instructor.

For that, all fitness clubs and centres (and other public or private facilities) are required to pay for the right to play publicly protected musical works. A blanket license from the music rights authority in your country is required for this. If you work for a facility where these licenses have already been obtained, then you are not personally responsible for obtaining them for your classes.

If you teach in a home studio, or you own a facility where aerobics classes are taught, you are responsible for paying these fees. It is unlawful to play publicly protected music in a public forum without obtaining the proper licenses.

NOTE: It is also unlawful to reproduce publicly protected music without obtaining a license to do so, if that reproduction will be played in a public forum. Contrary to popular thought, this means it is unlawful to make your own tapes/CD's by mixing from your personal music collection, or by copying another instructor's music.

Why are your tapes and CD's so expensive?

Within the fitness industry, our prices are very competitive and typical. But beyond that, it is important to note a few things:

· It is sometimes very expensive to obtain the music licensing for the popular songs included on many compilations
· All of our compilations are meticulously edited for the proper musical phrasing necessary for aerobic instruction
· Most of our compilations contain two fully-edited, 45-minute, continuous music mixes (much more music than a typical single tape or CD from the music store)
· All our music is imported from the USA and Europe which places high demands on our price range due to exchange rates and import customs fees levied on all luxury items.

Why doesn't all the music feature original artists?

Our suppliers do use the original artist whenever possible. But the most popular artists, if they are available at all, often demand fees that would require our suppliers to raise their prices.

Rather than raise the prices, or choose not to include a particularly popular song, our suppliers often hire a reputable producer to remake that specific song for inclusion on one of the compilations.

You may be interested to know that, in addition to paying the producer to remake the song, they also pay a licensing fee to the song writer(s) for the use of the song (melody) anyway!

What kind of music should I use for Kickboxing?

Kickboxing aerobics is, by its very nature, aggressive. We recommend music that is aggressive, too. This usually means a heavy beat, with music that incorporates rock instruments such as "grinding" electric guitars, or a heavy techno-club sound incorporating electronic music and effects.

Given that there are many styles of kickboxing aerobics that are now popular, our suppliers have produced music in several different tempos and formats, each of which can be used for a particular style of kickboxing. For specific information, visit our KICKBOXING section at www.cmponline.biz

What is the Frequent Buyer Programme?

Our Frequent Buyer Programme is a subscription program, whereby the latest and best new releases are automatically shipped to you as soon as they become available.

Why are some of your compilations not available on CD and Cassette?

Some of our older compilations were never produced on CD; fitness facilities simply were not equipped with CD players, so it made no sense to produce them in that format. Since these items do not sell as much as our newer releases, the cost of reproducing them on CD at this time is prohibitive.

Lately the trend has been moving more towards the use of CD, therefore we are now stocking more items in this format as new releases become available.

What purchase methods are available?

Buy using credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Diners and American Express) or direct transfer, as well as by phone, fax or mail. For more information please contact us at info@cmponline.biz

I do not want to use my credit card. Can I still place an order ?

Yes, you are most welcome. Our direct transfer option allows you to pay for an order by doing a direct deposit into our bank account. Your order will be shipped the moment we receive proof of payment. Note that this is a more lengthy process, which may increase the delivery time of your order.

Once you have placed your order, the quoted order amount (which will be confirmed via e mail or the telephone ) must be deposited into the CMP bank account using the following details:

How do I know that my Internet order is being processed correctly?

After you submit your order via e mail, you will receive confirmation of your order. If any problems are encountered during processing (i.e. a declined credit card, or incomplete address), our customer service office will contact you by e-mail or telephone.

My credit card company has refused or declines to pay for my order,how can I get more information?

To protect the card owner's privacy, credit card companies do not tell us the reason why a customer's charge was refused. If an order is refused or declined, the customer should contact his/her credit card company and ask the reason why the charge was declined.

All orders with a credit card refusal will be cancelled immediately. Once you have sorted out the problem with your credit card company you will have to start over and place a completely new order.

What does it cost, and how long does it take to have my order shipped?

How can I check the status of my order?

We will send you a confirmation e-mail as soon as we receive your order and also when we ship your parcel. Our final confirmation e-mail to you will include a unique DHL WORLDWIDE EXPRESS "TrackingNumber"

Once you have received confirmation from CMPonline that your order has been shipped you can trace the progress of your parcel's delivery by logging into the DHL WEBSITE at www.dhl.com Select the "Track an Order" option and enter the unique "Tracking Number" you have received from CMP.

What if I have a problem with my order?

What are "cookies," and does the CMP site utilise them?

Cookies are bits of computer code that are sent from a web site to your computer's hard drive. They allow your computer to keep important basic information (such as your passwords, purchase history, and individual preferences) "handy" so it will be readily available whenever you visit that same site. (This is important because that information does not then have to be saved on the web site server, where others can access it.) The use of cookies is common at most interactive web sites, and you are usually unaware of them. Since the CMPonline Web Site is an interactive site, it may use cookie technology for these reasons.

Does CMPonline have an office or a shop I can visit in my area?

CMPonline has only one office in Dubai Media City. When nearby, we encourage you to drop in to visit us and make your purchases in person.
